Taylor Shaw had the perfect life—until she was sixteen. That was when everything changed. From that moment on, life went from bad to worse…to the worst.
After recovering from a brain tumor, months later, she suffers the tragic loss of her whole family.
Since that fateful day, she’s been coasting through life.

Now, the brain tumor has returned, and Taylor decides she’s had enough. She’s going to take her fate into her own hands.
No more hospitals. No more surgeries. No more anything.
She’s going to join her family.
It’s her decision.
What she longs for.
The ending she wants.

She just has a list of things to do before she goes.
First, go to England.
Second, kiss a stranger…

Only, Taylor didn’t expect Liam Hunter, the stranger—with his handsome face, his six-foot-three of gorgeousness, and his oh-so-hot English accent—to change things.
To change her.
To change the ending she wanted.

What is a girl, who is standing on the edge of nothing, to do when offered the chance of everything?

I kind of went into this book with a bit of misconstrued thoughts as to the type of book The Ending I Want would be. Between the title of the book and the blurb, I was bracing myself for the motha of a sad and angsty plot. I mean, it's apparent, right? The ENDING I want? Although the book ramped up on emotion and angst towards the end, the bulk of the story is rather light hearted, exciting, and steamy.

Liam Hunter is the owner of several multi-billion dollar companies in England. He meets our heroine, Taylor Shaw, on a flight from Boston to London. Sitting in coach seating, the dishwater blonde next to him attracts his immediate attention by planting a kiss on him. She's beautiful and feisty and refreshing and he can't seem to get enough of her in those seven short hours flying across the pond. She's got a list and he intends to help her check each item off.

Kiss a stranger- check!

Taylor's tumor is back and she has no intention to fight it again. She's lost her entire family and just wants to see them in heaven. It's her duty and penance for what happened to them. It's her fault. So she writes a list, What to do before I die and hops on a plane to London to see where her parents fell in love. When the sexy man in a suit plops down next to her, she see's and feel's the necessity to check off the Kiss a stranger item. She just doesn't expect that kiss to be returned with so much crazy lust and passion.

Liam Hunter was the highlight for me in this book. He's rich and beautiful and the perfect Prince Charming for a dying young Taylor. Ten years her senior, he makes it his two-week goal to help check off each item on her list. He has zero idea that a tumor is growing inside her skull so their time together is carefree and filled with unquenchable lust. And wow, lust-worthy is Liam.

I think this is what I least expected here- the steam factor. This book is pretty darn smoking hot. The two of them, for being strangers, seem to fit together perfectly in so many ways. Taylor wants to just live her final weeks or months in happiness and Liam is attracted to that fancy-free nature of her. He takes a long-past-due holiday from work and devotes his time to this feisty girl who wants to dye her hair pink...or purple.

Although I expected my heart to be ripped from my chest here, I still really enjoyed this novel. When I expect heavy and I get lighter and steamier, it's not all bad. Once I got over that, I fell for Liam the most. The man was perfection for Taylor and I almost felt he deserved more than he got from her. He deserved Taylor's honesty and he didn't get it until his heart was 100% invested and for that, I really have issues. Not for her lack of divulging her illness but for blatantly lying to him when he asked about it. Lying by omission I might have gotten past, but to look a man in the eye and lie to him when you know you're both falling in love? No. Just no. This is why I deducted a star. I was mad at her. And I hold an awful grudge even when she redeems herself.

Overall I still really liked The Ending I Want a ton and I would recommend it for a reader looking for a bit of angsty tug at the heartstrings because it does ramp up on the emotional side towards the end. It's fun and flirty, hot and spicy and touching all put together. Well done.
