When I'd frost read the blurb for Marriage Games, I got this giddy little feeling inside, hoping we'd get an erotic love story much like that of Monica and Jonathon in Songs of Submission. I feel CD Reiss has the perfect recipe on how to make erotica not only HOT, but different in the suspenseful yet artistic way it's delivered. We totally got that with Marriage Games.

Adam Steinbeck, co-owner to a large publishing firm with his wife, wakes one morning just like all the rest. Until he steps into his kitchen to find the letter. A letter from his beautiful wife telling him she doesn't love him anymore and wants a divorce. Completely baffled, Adam vows to win her back- no matter what measures. Even if he has to use their company as a temporary bargaining tool.

Diana McNeil-Barnes isn't sure just what caused their marriage to fizzle, but it has. She wants out, and though doing it with a note wasn't the best way to communicate that, it's done. Until Adam comes up with a idea- THIRTY DAYS. Thirty days away from the city, just the two of them, her submitting to his will- all to win back her company and an uncontested divorce. She can do it, right? Their marriage has always been painfully vanilla but recent sitings are shedding light that her husband might be holding back who he truly is deep down. A Dominant. Is this where the disconnect has always been? Thirty days- can Diana withstand his newfound dominant ways...

I swear, CD Reiss has the copyright on constructing the perfect Doms. What I loved most about Marriage Games was the self-conflict, the sheer angst of Adam struggling between his love for Diana and trying to find a way to reacclimatize to his long-hidden Dominant ways. He's never loved a submissive- but he loves his wife- how can this possibly work?

I was wholeheartedly attached to this story. Diana had no clue whatsoever her submissive ways. She's a tiger in the business world, an equal to her husband in the boardroom, so suddenly feeling below him felt wrong...but arousing, and right. I can't wait to see where CD Reiss takes this story of self-discovery for BOTH characters! The second installment in this duet, Separation Games is plotted for an early January release.

CD Reiss is a USA Today and Amazon bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up, she’s at the well, hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master’s degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere, but it did embed TV story structure in her head well enough for her to take a big risk on a TV series structured erotic series called Songs of Submission. It’s about a kinky billionaire hung up on his ex-wife, an ingenue singer with a wisecracking mouth; art, music and sin in the city of Los Angeles.

Critics have dubbed the books “poetic,” “literary,” and “hauntingly atmospheric,” which is flattering enough for her to put it in a bio, but embarrassing enough for her not to tell her husband, or he might think she’s some sort of braggart who’s too good to give the toilets a once-over every couple of weeks or chop a cord of wood.

If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.
